At CTDU I've learned more confidence, telling our experiences about being disabled. I've learned to be more assertive and speak up to people. I've learned to stand up for rights and fight for people. Before - I didn't have any confidence at all but I do now. CTDU has helped me in all that. People kept talking down to me but now I can answer them back.
At
CTDU I have friends, it's a great atmosphere, I can talk to people.

At CTDU, I hear different points of view, and I feel I can contribute. I like Bothkennar, it's a great centre. When I'm out with my family, or when I'm at CTDU, I feel I'm a different person than when I am living in Key Housing -I feel so depressed there. At CTDU's AGM, I made a speech about the wheelchair challenge. I
want to live independently and feel that CTDU has given me the confidence to take
this forward. |
