Jason's story . . . .

I met Iyaah from CTDU in 2001 at Falkirk College. Iyaah helped our group to make a banner called ‘Equal People’. Since then I’ve helped to make other banners. I was part of a group that made one of the banners for the opening of the Scottish Parliament called ‘Standing Up For Ourselves’. John, from Alloa, and me got chosen to carry the Central Scotland banner down The Ridings to the new Scottish Parliament building, where all the MSPs were. The Queen was there as well. It was a really good day.

I’ve met a lot of people at CTDU who’ve become good friends. Meeting different people is really good. I meet Andrew at CTDU, he’s a good friend. Nigel took Andrew and me out in a minibus to Livingston. And we have fun at social events. In April I'm going to Blackpool with 2 of the other students at CTDU, I'm looking forward to that.

I’ve joined another group called Advocacy into Action now too. I wouldn’t have done something like that before.

I really like the people at CTDU, and the things we learn at Bothkennar are very good.
